I agree one hundred percent. It is telling when the 20% on the right and the 20% on the left control the argument both in the press and in the party system. Joe Liebermen destroyed because he actually thought for himself. Look what theydid to McCain in 2000. He is now a puppet for the whackos.

The Blame game is ultimately bullshit. Middle East can be traced back to issues with how the British dropped a bunch of Jews off in the desert after stealing a bunch of Palestenian homes. Then said you guys fight it out.

US history has had a thrid party rise out of problems like this. We need another. Only problem is Nader will find a way to be the candidate.

I wish for a Johnson or Goldwater to rise up and save either party. Or someone intelligent and new to make a reasonable third party. But the press will be too interested in who they sleep with and the public is worried about their one issue they have decided is the only litmus test allowed.

Lemmings all of them.

Ironically you see filp in ads. It was once that congressmen spend too much time in Washington were they were living together, drinking together, visiting the same strip joints. Then we bitched that they didn't come home and kiss our asses enough. Had to beg for alms to spend big on attack ads. NOw we check out their attendance records again. Fuck campaign finance. At least with large donors they could stay there, get the job done and money was easier to track. Vote for big oil and take big oil money, we notcied. Now PACs and party committees do the dirty work and we don't know whose pocket they are in.

Don't apologize for the rant.

By the way, registered Independent. Can't stand'em both.

Your right it was taken out of context, he was for service in the military before he was against it...

High oil/energy prices? That is a result of the Bush presidency? Why stop there, why don't we blame the Bush administration for global warming, Bird Flu, outsourcing to China, my hair loss, and the reason the Noles suck so bad this year. I am definitely not a supporter of the Bush administration or the war in Iraq for that matter. What I truly despise about our current political system is that everyone is so busy standing around pointing fingers at the other guy that nothing constructive ever gets done. Lots of talk and no action. When is the last time you saw the two parties work together to address any of the many issues with the country's domestic and foreign policies? Very rarely, too worried about the next election cycle. I hate to say it, but I tend to agree with Nader that the two party system, while great in theory, is truly flawed in practice and needs to be overhauled.

Sorry about the rant....

I don't think a clipped, out of context comment makes him a joke. I saw the whole thing, it was a dig on Bush.

What does make him a joke is that he is handed the worst approval ratings of setting president going for reelection, no weapon's of mass destruction, incredible oil prices, no health care and a cornicopia of issues that should make every presidential hopeful a sure fire success. But no, the ass clown hands it back in a 2% "mandate".

Thats okay, Giuliani in 2008. Best Democrat, I mean Republican in the mix so far

This guy is an absolute joke. No wonder he didn't get elected. We should send his educated pompous ass to Iraq...
