The moment you have to announce that we are with child, all be damned if every pain in the ass in the nearest one hundred feet has to to tell you about every crappy thing that has happened, that the have seen or what they have heard. Not to mentioned the satanic Baby Story shows on TLC and other God-forsaken networks. They track down the most F-ed up pregnancies and follow them along. Christina claims she is glued to them because of the happy endings. Well, the last 20 seconds of happiness is not enough to untie my stomach from the square knot it became and doesn’t do anything for the overactive imagination that has now kicked into overdrive.
The fools dictating this crap to you in “helpful” anecdotes and the worshippers of the F-ed up Baby Stories all claim that all the worry is erased the moment you have the baby in your arms. Unless your words are extra strength Xanax then my panic attacks will only increase in intensity with the lingering nightmares over the next X number of months. Thanks for the memories.

Christina and I were in Philadelphia a year ago for some friends’ wedding. In our free time we took to wondering the streets of the formal capital city. We turned a corner and found ourselves in the midst of a full on, raucous gay pride parade. One little intersection had its own party within a party. Apparently it was the can’t dress, can’t dance contigent of the gay community. Couldn’t resist a few frames. Love the old man, dance on with your bad self.
UCF finally did it. After losing a mistake filled game against Southern Miss last week they fire up the offense and win on Torres’ field goal inside the last seven seconds. RB Kevin Smith ran for over 160 yards, Moffet connected more than he dropped without of the huge errors of last week and Kyle Israel scored on a running touchdown. Dumping Marshall at home in a game filled with the emotions of remembering a lost team is big for the rest of the season. Second conference game and finally starting to show some promise. Defense still missing lots of tackles and the run game got us bad, Bradshaw from Marshall was hot. A great offensive shoot out between the two teams. UCF cleared over 420 offensive yards after a previous average of 220. Offensive line showed up to clear some lanes for the run game. Bad news though, Smith left towards then with a rib injury. Hope it is minor.
Now I might buy tickets to see us get pummeled by Pitt. Go Knights.

Fly Guy. I found it on Dvorak and have to agree that I don’t know what it really is. A game, an art piece or just retro line drawings in flash that amount to a collosal waste of time. I spent 20 minutes right off the bat.
Healthy Bucket
The latest ultrasound was good news. Well, actually there was really no new news. Which is good news I guess. Everything is on track for Bucket. Heart, lungs and other innards are looking good. He has two arms and two legs, which the doctor tells me, is good news. He is now a whopping 2 lbs 11 oz. How they figure that out is a very complicated process that I blanked out on after the first large multi-syllable word (the second word in all).
The only issue is the little bastard is camera shy for any new pics. That’s why there haven’t been any new ones lately. The last two ultrasounds he has been head down and hiding. Showing his ass already. Lots of shots of 6 vertebrae gets a little boring. We even tried for the video but movie star he is not.
In the jungle, the mighty jungle…
Much to Christina’s chagrin I managed to register for an entire year’s worth of lion costumes. Well, she moan’s again since there is only one item sold on the registry. And I’ll be damned it is a lion costume. I can already hear him roar. She did reject my idea of the uniform. An entire year’s worth of the same outfit in all of the sizes. Imagine a year’s worth of photos in the same outfit. The friend we see every few weeks will begin to believe they are seeing things. Relatives will have a will full of pictures causing the first glance into a double take. I figure have your fun early before it can do any real damage to the kid’s psyche.
