I have been using the Askimet spam filter for comments. As I have not locked out non registrered comments on this site, it keeps easy for the family folk, I get a crazy amount of junk comment spam. I look over them just in case, but Askimet has yet to be wrong.
I did get one though that got me good. This one had brilliant, ironic accuracy. The prose was the usual generic crap that tries, not very hard, to lull you into thinking that the bot really read the post and agreed. They get you with the links up top that keep their sludge moving through out the inter web.
Here it is:
What makes it better was the post it stuck it to, Internet Tubes now Social Ban. Well I guess the bot really was trying to clog some tubes some how. I love how he works in the same industry and then links to gay porn. Do I give off that impression. Dude, if that is the case I need to work on things a little.
At any rate, the bathroom can attest, my tubes ain’t clogged.

I also love how they try to fool you with a semi personal note, like “see you tomorrow”. Are people fooled by this. Are they so slammed by their schedules that simply stating that makes them go, “Okay, yeah, I really do know this guy”.
