All the beauty that is the internet and for your glorious Christmas viewing pleasure
The final of a 3 part series that is now way overdue and I am rapidly losing steam in writing about it. It is the Welch Turkey Day Experience. To catch up check out Part 1 and then Part 2.
To sum up, we got drunk, ate turkey and then started doing stupid stuff. One such event culminated with Christina’s father standing in the middle of the living room surrounded by all but two family members and exclaiming “Is he on fire?”. Ye, he was. Seems that the brain trust (the missing 2) decided to start the fire on the beach of the lake with a little help from their friend gasoline. A few matches and the tos of the gasoline container later one of the two was doing the whole “Stop, Drop and Roll” drill. Life saver that one, go kindergarten.
After he was extinguished and our short term memories were clogged with booze, we stood around the evil temptation itself and shared in the pyromania. Witness the photos (click to view the whole set):
The next couple of days were largely spent focused on Sam’s 1st B-Day. He wasn’t too concerned but we made it a big deal. That is what you do on the first couple, entertain yourself and make like it is wonderful memories. It is fun but you could do it every day and the kid would never no the difference. Matter of fact we repeated the event for the folks in O-Town. He seemed just as excite then.
Sam did dig the cake thing. Lucky for you I taped it. Hmmm. More kid crap on video. That is exactly why Al Gore God invented the internet. Behold above:
