MOS new album

Mates of State. Christina hates them, so I never get to listen to them in the house or in the car but I love the nifty organ/drum rock. Like nerdier White Stripes. Christina’s main beef has been weird lyrics and odd arrangements (they tend to ramble and song structure be damned), but they pull it off in a danceable, head jangley kind of way. I will admit that I don’t know WTF they are singing about but I dig it. I do have side that there has been more to sticking to the indie aesthetic for indie sake at times but it was inspired. And live they are great. But this one is a bit more fleshed out. Lots of musicians as guest and the songs are strongly edited (much need, see rambling/ song structure be damned comment above). Instrumentation is stretched much past the organ drum thing and they spent a bit of time in post evening out the performances. Take inspiration and back it with solid performance, Bring it Back is a great album.
