Lack of Campaign Signs Bring Out Passioned Creativity

The scarcity of campaign signs were purposeful in that it was wasted efforts. “…they don’t vote on Election Day” as stated by a staffer in a Washington Post interview. True.

But people like yard signs. So they got creative. And I think it shows were the passion is resting right now. While the polls tighten the signs for the Obama camp seem to be getting looser. I just wonder were the sense of humor and creativity is in the McCain supporters. You see some good ones at the rallys but that goes for both. I just see the lock-step normalcy of what is offered.

The Obama ones are at least interesting if not funny. Regardless. First the Geezer-Dingbat [via Pulse of CFL] and then a few more that I drive past every day.

Note: They strategically placed the Halloween decoration between the two for some not so subtle hint.

This house had a nifty play on the “W” on black sticker from the last cycle as an M with the McSame tag. But it disappeared.

  • I love the "McSame/Appalin" sign. I have yet to see that one about town. Did you take the picture(s) yourself?
  • I took them the day before yesterday as I picked my son up from daycare. They're great. The yard is filled, today they had the "M" sign out.
  • That's awesome! I learned quite a while back to start taking my camera with me everywhere I go, and I'm glad I did...otherwise I would've never caught the "Geezer/Dingbat" sign.
