What about http://www.muttr.com ? it looks A LOT cleaner than all of those websites (actually looks very nicely designed). It actually serves a good purpose too, venting. FML does this to a point, but it's more of a "lets see if i can make a funny post".

Muttr.com is straight to the point, simple, eye pleasing, and extremely easy to use. It will remain my choice for quite some time now!

I saw couple of new sites that recently popup http://www.CrappyLife.com, mylifeisaverage, gives me hope anyone been to these

Well i actually look at it like this, some times Fuck my life is good but some times Fuck why me fits better.
Example:
I was at a BBQ and at had my chest leaning on my neighbor's cement porch when I hear a loud pop. I stand up and notice one boob is much smaller than the other. The air pocket I used for padding popped... everyone noticed. FWM

on that one i would say "fuck why me" sounds alot better.

now one this one:
I woke up and realized the guy I like texted me saying "I like you" at 3 in the morning. I waited till later in the day so I could build up the courage to text him back. I texted him saying I like you too. His response: "Oh sorry, I was drunk last night when I sent that, my bad FML

Fuck my life would sound better.

Most of the time i would go with "Fuck why me" because its something i have said through out my life.. I cant remember one time i have ever said "Fuck My Life"
Maybe because im from brooklyn ? i have asked around. More people like Fuck Why me Then Fuck my life.(the saying that is)
As far as the site goes.. I think its clear as day Fwhyme.com looks a whole lot better then Fmylife.com does.. + they just added confessions .. So i don't know i just think Fwhyme.com has a lot more to offer and relates to the type of person i am more..

So which came first? Why is there a fight over it, is the space too crowded for more than one "my life sucks in one sentence or less" sites? I do have to say, fmylife has got the better name than the rest.

saying Fwhyme copied Fmylife, is like saying Mozilla copied IE. Should have Firefox been made "round". Should chevy have put the tires of their car on the roof rather then under the car ? hey, ford put the tires on the ground first.

Did Nintendo copy Atari ? and did Atari ripoff coleco ? i mean really.. i could go on and on like this.. Fmylife did not create this form of blogging nor did they prefect is. Day by day Fwhyme grows bigger and bigger . they obviously did / are doing something right.

This all started with "bash quotes" www.Bash.org" and now everyone wants their peace of the pie.. Even the name Fmylife was taken from a movie the makers of the site had nothing to do with.

The correct translation of the french site is "MY life is Carp"(or something to that effect) and we all know how well that site did.. Then the viedemerde goes and "Steals" a saying from a movie to base their site off of. in my Opinion as an American FWhyme is a way better name for a format like this. And as for "red" lol whats wrong with red ? Fmylife is a bland one color text blah site. Fmylife is the reflection of a socialistic boring country the makers of that site are a product of.

On another note if you want to see a REAL copy in its truest form www.fmehlife.com .
If Fwhyme.com wanted to copy fmylife the would have just bought a pre made script and did just what www.fmehlife.com did..

www.Fwhyme.com was built on word press and anyone who knows word press knows the only reason to build something on top of that would mean there is ALOT more to come..

Well Frans, it seems your facts are a bit flawed. I understand you are trying to remain loyal to fellow Croutons, but as Americans would say... “either way you slice it”, Maxime Valette, and the rest of the VDM / FML team has ripped off existing sites.

Have you ever heard of Bash.org? Bash.org was Beta & Cie's (The company that owns FML and VDM) first victims. If you take a look at Bash's registrant information which can viewed at http://whois.domaintools.com/bash.org, you will see they have been around since 1993.

VDM's first design, and overall concept was replicated from Bash.org. An archive from the Way Back Machine of VDM in it's early months proving this can be found here http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.viedeme....

Now, let's move on to VDM / FML second victim, Jinxed.org. Jinxed.org has been registered since 2005. FML / VDM has copied Jinxed.org's design, moderation system, their Illustration section. Jinxed.org has taken credit for their design. If this design was truly Beta & Cie, why haven't they done so? Because Maxime Valette doesn't want to create any more tension risking a backlash from Jinxed.org. These facts have also been noted by several other bloggers. Www.Fwhyme.com has simply done exactly what FML has done. And after this blog it seems that FWM has put fear into the cowardly, immature croutons hearts http://fmylife-vs-fwhyme.tumblr.com/.

You say FWM was badly done? The owner of FML who is supposedly a well experienced coder installed a simple pre-made message board script that is widely available on the internet. Www.fwhyme.com has a custom script with graphics. FML is all text, it's bland.

Natasha Nicole Flores check your facts, the first story on jinxed.org was posted the 2nd of October 2008 : http://jinxed.org/comments/?page=1417 and most of the other stories on jinxed.org are translated from viedemerde.fr
If you check on the French website, it's first story was posted on the 14 of September 2007 : http://www.viedemerde.fr/amour/41
And the official English version of VDM was launched in October 2008, they just renamed it to fmylife.com in September. So, FML is the original version, jinxed just translated the French website.

Atleast jinxed.org didn't copy the design of FML like FWM very badly do (ouch, red !). And why would FML be "afraid" FWH, they've proved over the last 2 years to be the best and have over 1 500 000 visitors a day, 920 000 fans on facebook, and over 350 000 members, a book deal and an online store. What does fwhyme have ? 950 results on Google ! yay !
And according to you there already was "competition" for FML, jinxed.org ! Which with a much better look than FWM never took off.

All this to prove that unlike what you say on all the FML topics all over internet that you spam (it made me laugh how you try to get hits from FML’s fame) French > Americans (well at least for FML) :)

FML is funny, but I have some issues with them. The admins, and possibly the owner is attacking a similar site http://www.fwhyme.com calling the owners of FWM "stupid", and "big babies" (I know, they could of done much better than that, they're immature), and accusing them of ripping off FML.

FML has no right to make any accusations. If you look at Jinxed.org, FML ripped them off, and they can't say Jinxed copied them because Jinxed was created way before their french domain, and FML was even registered.

So why can't http://www.fwhyme.com pull a move on them like what they did to Jinxed?

They are afraid because up until they learned of fwhyme.com they didn't have any competition.
