Cremation ashes at Disneyland — a dusty epidemic

Overheard in the car in front of you:

    Man

You just threw that in my face. I got some in my nose and everything.

    Woman

You just snorted Aunt Louise. That's gross!

Aunt Louise dust settles around you like ultra fine snow.

Arrington’s Interview with McCain

I had grown luke warm about McCain. Pandering to the religious nuts that have wrecked the GOP and seemingly ineffectual war rhetoric have gotten me down on the Maverick. But this was refreshing. Rather than taking grand statements (for most of it), his responses were thoughtful and measured. On tough ones, like net neutrality, he spoke about his own back and forth between both sides. A honest confusion and deference to more conversation. Common sense, not popular in politics of late. I am tired of Obama (boring, glam, no substance) and Guiliani is a vote-slut that is going to say what it takes to get him there but doesn't realize that he needs friends on both sides to get the job done (see 8 years of GW) and the rest of the Dem and Rep are just banging swords on shields for a loudest ruckus award (2nd place in Iowa and NH). I would love to see McCain and Clinton duke it out. Love or hate her, those are the two biggest brains out of the bunch and best possibilty for real solutions to big issues now. A grip’s view of the strike

I know that thw writers are fundamentally right. There should be pay for work done, period. But there is collateral damage to this action. Th actors are supporting the writers by paying their bills but who is paying the grip's bills. And while one could get indignant of the writer's possession the fact is the rpoducers are even more wrong. "Promotion" is bs and they should pay equal with TV fare.

Interesting read for the other story of the strike. Show Tracker is worth adding to your feed reader for the duration of the strike. Great coverage.

TasteBook Launches With Lots Of Help From Condé Nast

This rocks, mash up your fave recipes from Epicurious (Bon Apetit and Gourmet magazine recipes) and other affiliated  sites and print out a personal cookbook a la a photo boo from iPhoto. Dude this rocks. Epicurious is tremendous for the quality of recipes. You can even add in your own recipes for a personal touch. I have way too many book marked now, dump them out in a book would be great. I have tried to cook with the Powerbook next to the stove. Bad idea, very bad idea.
