Bad Ass old school wrestling poster celebrating the true ature of American Politics. Appropriate is the analogy to wrestling, the two tie each other in truthfulness [what, wrestling if fake], violence and gaudy pagaentry. BUY IT for a cool $250
Yeah, oops. Wrong Larry. A button maker, trying to get ahead made up some buttons for the Dem running for senate, Larry LaRocco. He got the name right but pasted the GOP (for Gay Ole Party in this case) Larry Craig. Lucky, nobody ordered them. Dems are laughing it off and Craig is still maintaining looking for gay sex is not the same as being gay.
That’s right, WriteInBush.com. This is what the country truly needs. Be sure to check out the blog. They are gathering funding and reaching out to the nations religious leaders for help. Truly a blessing, this site, to our country in its time of hurt and troubles.
Tom Feeney tops himself in sending out campaign materials on the government dime this year at $188,744. And considering we are only five months into the year he is looking to top almost $377,000. [I only counted 10 months as the election in November will probably mean that he doesn't really need to notify his constituents about "important issues" such as campaign slogans"]. Last year he cut it short at $164,000.
But he also has the nerve to claim that he is saving us from pork. I also love the irony that it is an anti-earmark earmark. Just pony up and actual propose a real bill, campaign on that. Not more earmarks. Besides, what has been his track record in working/voting/speaking against the GOP earmarks for the years prior to being in a tough campaign. It seems they have been the big spenders that has gotten us into the mess.
Scott Maxwell [OG article here] makes the point that this should a an interesting campaign. Especially if Tommy-Boy keeps mailing out the material to his opponent [Suzanne Kosmas]
After a long weekend and deep thought I have decided I have been wrong and am now voting Republican regardless. I think this video, while not mine, best conveys my feelings:
My liberal love for Olberman is unceasing and enjoy his random rants. In this one he sums up the primary season in a few short minutes:
And this one is an interesting mashup [via boing-boing]. Obama and Lincoln.

Forgo the obvious problems: a war president with an anti-war president, one filled with rhetoric and the other man of action, and the republican vs. democrat (not really relevant as the parties flip flopped and shallow nonetheless). It is interesting for it is pivotal relationship in race, moral quandaries embroiled in the population and the high minded ideals that have propelled a young, locally popular politician into the national spot-light and hpeflly in a position to realign the countries priorities to things that have made America a better place.
My caveat is that Obama is sounding less the skilled idealist and more the anti-Bush that Democrats want him to be. We still have a few months. We’ll see if he can live up to the comparison.
The real race begins now. I agree with the need for change. I also hear it more live and true in Obama’s message [see last night's speech]. We will debate the details for the next few months. But right now, I choose Obama.
After Malkin blew her thin topped skull over the scarf of Rachel Ray, what are the right wingers gonna do about this [from rhode's commentary on his post]:
Somehow I think this is just coincidence rather than a strategy by the McCain campaign to reach out to people watching english Al Jazeera (perhaps a more general news buy).
Interesting they use a photo of a younger McCain (I guess to appeal to youth like me watching YouTube)
Too bad the left doesn’t have an organized army of screamers commentators like the GOP does, there is enough tit for tat between Obama and McCain to make for a great fireworks show.
I think these guys have watched and recorded enough Fox News to make justify every ad dollar spent on a 24 hour cycle.
I don’t like the spin of Fox News but these turds miss the point that the dialog, no matter how stupid, is what is important. Without both sides hammering it out we have one party politics and that never seems to work out.
They are just mad that the right seems better at staying on message than the left (see current prez race poll results, McCain has the edge). Continue reading ‘Fox Attacks (I hope these guys aren’t Nielsen Families)’
